Personal Reflections and Contribution
My responsibilities for this project entailed a 13 state territory. I was tasked with identifying and selling to the major players in the identified complimentary industries. Mid-way through the project the company landed the Sam’s Club and Walmart accounts, making our largest competition our own product in these big box stores. We adapted by creating a value-added package for our clients. This strategy proved successful to the point that the company was able to branch out into other products including basketball goals, high jump and pole vault pits, and even portable hot tubs. The company eventually succumbed to foreign competition and was sold.
