Description of Goals and Assignment
Oswalt’s Car Repair has provided car service in the Mesquite, Texas area since 1967. The company obtained new business strictly through word of mouth. The company maintains a website through Mechanicsnet and receives several benefits from its association through this service. However, this association has drawbacks when it comes to search engine rankings.
Research, Findings, and Recommendations
The company had no PPC campaign and minimal online exposure. A marketing plan was set in place to increase online visibility. This plan included:
- Identification quantification of the correct target markets.
- Extensive keyword research and a competitive analysis on the identified target markets.
- Metatag and content creation.
- Creation of PPC and ad campaign including creation of ads and ad extensions.
- Extensive link building campaign.
- Website analysis and adjustment including image names, alt tags, and URL rewrites.
- Major link building campaign.
Personal Reflections and Contribution
I provided all research and recommendations for this project. Although the project is in its early stages, the company has already enjoyed improved rankings and a sharp increase in new business.
